@hiphopslegacy: This interview feels completely different once you know what was happening behind the scenes. 🎥 On September 4, 1996, Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg sat together at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York. Pac was only 25 years old. Just three days later, on September 7, he would be shot in Las Vegas, and he died six days after that on September 13. This became one of Pac’s final public appearances. (YouTube) But watch their body language closely. 👀 What most people watching at the time didn’t know was that Pac and Snoop were having problems with each other. Snoop later explained that while they were in New York, he told Angie Martinez that he still had love for Biggie and Puffy. Pac reportedly took that as Snoop not standing beside him during the East Coast/West Coast conflict. Snoop said the tension became so bad that they barely spoke on the flight back home. (XXL Mag) And that wasn’t the only crazy thing happening around them. During that same New York trip, Tupac had a face-to-face encounter with Nas, who was another rapper Pac had issues with at the time. Snoop later recalled watching the confrontation and realizing how dangerous the situation could’ve become. Think about that: Pac was surrounded by some of the biggest names and biggest tensions in hip-hop history, yet hours later he’s sitting in front of MTV cameras talking, laughing and handling business like everything is normal. (Ambrosia For Heads) There’s another side of their relationship people rarely talk about, though. Years later, Snoop revealed that Tupac actually helped him learn how to be a better father. Pac spent time with Snoop’s young son Corde and would even remind Snoop to stop what he was doing in the studio and take care of his son. So when you watch this footage, you’re not just watching two rap legends—you’re watching two friends whose relationship had love, brotherhood and tension all at once, without either of them knowing how little time they had left together. 💔🕊️ (People.com) #2Pac #HipHopHistory #SnoopDogg #fyp #keffed

kinda scary to think that the next day Snoop would go on air and say he was actually friends with Biggie and Puff and Pac would get shot 3 days later. 😳

The one thing PAC was right about is that the MEDIA! Makes problems and causes bigger issues! It still does and clearly no one knows how to ignore or see through it.

Maturity is knowing that Tupac was definitely talking unnecessary and out of line.
Maturing is also knowing they were young and dumb at the time.
