I passed in 85 questions on Saturday. Do not focus on content, focus on RN action, med contraindications, Pt teaching, compare clinical manifestations of similar conditions like Dka vs hhs, COPD vs Pneumonia vs Asthma. Also study electrolytes too, but don’t focus on remembering lab values because they give you the parameters. Good luck !

When someone says don’t focus on content I just scroll bc if I don’t know what it’s asking how can I safely answer the question

I took mine two weeks ago and passed. I can't even tell nobody what helped me cause, I used a lot of resources. one thing I'm gonna say, don't let those low on your readiness discourage you. I used bootcamp I took only 2 out of 4 readiness and both of them were low 🤷‍♀️. I used naxlex naxlex never got 70% which they required. I studied on and off cause I can't concentrate for too long. Passed on my first attempt. God did it 🙌. Good luck everyone

i didn’t study at all and took my nclex two months after i graduated, i passed in 85 on the first try!! the biggest thing is don’t stress yourself out over it. the nclex was easier than any test i ever took in nursing school and easier than any ati assessment

I didn’t study at all. Took it 2 months after graduating. I went out and did something fun every day the week of my nclex. I thought to myself “either I’ll know this or won’t. And if I fail, I at least know what the exam is like.” I passed in 85 questions and I got 6-7 case studies. I don’t think any studying would’ve prepared me for that. Good luck! You got this!

I failed at 150 the first time; was so drained from just finishing nursing school so I did zero studying. Second time around I passed in 85. I did bootcamp questions 50-75/day, readiness exams every week (studied for about a month), and hand wrote notecards to focus on the specific things. I would recommend knowing isolation precautions, crutches/walkers, DVT, PE, etc. Know the simple EKG strip readings as well. And last of all…. Just trust your gut. You passed nursing school- you know all the content. Good luck! 😊

I made that mistake when I took it in July it was mostly content based vs safety. Studying it for the second time I’m doing a remediation course and it makes me study each body system, and specialty with flashcards that you fill in to see what you know and then quizzes.

Anyone get a 99% on the comprehensive predictor? I take my NCLEX soon and have just been using boardvitals on ATI. Was wanting to see if anyone else who scored higher is stressing as much as me and what you’re doing!😅

Just found out I passed today. You do need to know content to be safe. I used UWorld did just over 1000 questions. After every exam I took I went over EVERY question and took notes on even the questions I got right cuz sometimes you guess and get lucky. Do more nurse managing questions than you think you have to. I did a CAT exam the first day I started with studying to see where I was at. Then I saw where I was lacking and did a bunch of questions on those topics and systems. And mark klimmek. The only thing I found hard about his lectures was that he uses brand names of meds instead of generic like the NCLEX does but for the most part he was very helpful. There is a tutor on here that has a study guide that you can use when you go over your questions that I got and it helped a lot

I didn’t study. Shut off at 85. The NCLEX is content, but it’s mainly nursing judgement. Remember your ABC -airway is first. Safety is a big one. ADPIE - you will always assess first. You will be fine. Breathe, read every choice carefully.

It's a safety exam with content backing behind it to make those safe decisions if that makes sense. Like, understand the concept because then you can choose the safest option (+ prioritize) based on the concept being discussed in the question. That is literally all you need to know so please don't deep dive outside basics in all the categories (and understand what is behind your concept / answer choices. (only time I would deep dive on your weak areas, usually peds / OB, and I would also brush up on foundations, since its fundamental in all groups + it's own stand alone questions).
