everyone telling you you’d have to take it down to put curtains on is crazy. Maintenance should’ve installed the bar fully & properly, then you just get a shower curtain and the little curtain hooks that go onto the bar and in the holes of the top of the shower curtain. I’ve never known a shower curtain to go directly onto the bar.

Shower rods often use tension to hold them in place. Twist it clockwise to increase tension

Did no one see where she said “the thing doesn’t tighten, it just spins”? Why else would the maintenance person just leave it for her to do? It’s a broken tension rod and they were too lazy to get a new one.

Almost all rentals in my area don’t come with shower rods. I’m surprised they even supplied one and didn’t refer you to Walmart or Target to buy one
