For the longest time, I thought so many of my OCD symptoms were just personality traits... or even good things. That's the thing about OCD, it can disguise as being a "thoughtful partner" or highly self-aware, things you wouldn't want to change. But in reality, it's not helping you, it's keeping you stuck in your head and trapped by anxiety. The truth was, underneath all of those “quirks” was the same pattern: anxiety, doubt, rumination, & the need to feel completely certain that I hadn’t done something wrong.
