Did you guys or the owner send the oil out to be tested? Its inexpensive tool and insurance having those test results from a 3rd party. Its a great way to educate the owner also. I'm sure you guys know but alot regular cars owners dont. Oil tell you simple things like hes not changing regular to incomplete combustion (lots of acidic chemsin oil) which litterly eat your engine from the inside out

you should make a fishbone to do a root cause analysis of what went wrong and why. A real engineer would know that. Your helper probably suggested it too
