Oncotype is only needed if chemo is questionable ... if they were doing chemo regardless.. it doens t really matter

Failure of the Healthcare system again. if you had 4... did you immediately start chemo? was it lobular or ductal? no lymph nodes affected or 2nd opinion? you were young... its not your fault. you trusted them.. you didn't know what to ask.

My oncotype score is 7. Double mastectomy and two lymph nodes taken which the surgeon said looked healthy and not concerned. A week later she said both nodes were positive. No chemo. But did have radiation. I wake up every single day worrying it will be back. Those + nodes could have traveled. U look amazing and are so strong. 💕

Diagnosed in 2018. No oncotype. Shouldn’t that be standard? Had my treatment at MGH. No recurrence but I still look over my shoulder.

I met with my medical team on Monday and the surgeon said several things about my lump that were not in the lab report I received or mentioned by the radiologist who did my biopsy. I’ll be following up tomorrow. This experience and your post remind me that I’m going to have to check and double check everything. I’m taking zero chances.

I’ve been screwed over more than once by doctors including a breast cancer doctor who didn’t radiate me after lumpectomy and it came raging back involved lymph nodes. Also have had a spine surgeon give me wrong advice! I’m so sorry 😢

I had a 4% chance of recurrence. But it happens. All it took was one microscopic cell just reproduce. My oncology team and my oncology surgeon whenever all of my data. All the reports are the test and they were floored by the fact that reoccurring in 13 months.

I have a fibroadeoma in my right breast and I got 2/3 opinions because I was terrified someone is going to miss something…. Has anyone ever dealt with this?? I also was told I have dense breast tissue so we do ultrasounds as well….
