It’s been years since this has been happening. I actually found out about it even before COVID. Since then, im been using oil from plastic bags for the vilakku and Iluppai ennai for the kuttu vilakku. 😅 Of course, this oil can be debated. But honestly, not everyone is rich enough to buy pure ghee every day for poojai. 😔 Even the ghee available in the market isn’t always original. Alternative oils like chekku ennai are also quite expensive. At the end of the day, people have to use what they can afford for their daily poojai.
