or hear me out, it's an allegory of capitalism where oppressed worker live in the illusion of free will where in fact billonaires are hoarding their life force

Just wait until they finally build the matrix and people just volunteer for it because living in a simulation is cheaper than living outside of it.

There is already a company using brain cells to play a computer game. Data centres use a massive amount of electricity but the human brain does not. The company has the brain cells playing doom. Now that is a scary thing to think about.

my favourite part is the oracle programme literally giving Neo a cookie 😂. He asked a programme a question and it installed a cookie like a website does 😂😂

The 1999 audience absolutely would have been able to understand that concept. Considering that concept was already spoken of before the matrix even existed

The dumbing down of Matrix is something that enrages me greatly. We were more useful as cloned brains in jars for CPUs, and then we could have had the rich explanation of how the human brain wouldn't live without the body and the machines tried brains in jars but they died and the body died without stimulation hence the creation of the Matrix for the why the expansion on the use of all that power they didn't need to use, because the human brains a super processor and they absolutely need it, but nooooooo thiccky thiccky dumb dumb dumdum just couldn't get it. And we had to be battery farms that makes no sense at all.

In Terminator 2, Sarah Connor is arrested in the beginning for trying to blow up, guess it, a data center. we didn't get it

interesting concept but a long winded explanation. The 37 seconds between 1.02 and 1.39 explains all you need to know. the rest is repetitive fluff.

why do you think Neo and co can warp the simulation? it's because part of it is running in their brains when they are connected to it... bending the spoon by influencing the algorithm running in your head.

That makes sooooo much more sense. The human brain is, the the best of my knowledge, still the fastest processor on the planet. We may not be capable of using it to its full extent or fully comprehending exactly how every part works but it’s more advanced than quantum computing.

Imagine if instead of spending the money in the 4th movie, they remastered the original with that change on the script. Wouldn't have been better?

I never got what was so evil about putting us in a simulated world where we still had free will and where our quality of life was way higher because it was the only way to keep themselves alive

It was an unnecessary dumbing down of the plot. Anyone with half a brain would have gotten it back then. Most had internet and a pc, in Sweden at least.

With the level of technology that is supposed to be in this movie, you really think that tge last hurdles of quantum computing wouldn't have been figured out or even something much better? The humans as data centers isn't even a good plot, we are already fiddling with technology that has the potential to rival and surpass the human brain. At that level of technology that we see in the movie Matrix, we would simply be pest if we can't behave and being humans and thinking we are always so much superior, no wonder that the AI would treat us as such.
