as a third year stylist so I’m technically still a baby stylist, I obviously feel awful for this girl who had her hair melted off it’s A TERRIBLE THING to happen. however, that stylist should not have lost her job over this and putting them on blast is not the right way to handle the situation either. I know the stylist wasn’t handling the situation great but the internet is so quick to judge hair stylists they act like we’re money hungry mean girls when in reality most of us are just girls trying to get by and make others feel good in their own skin

Not only this, but people started booking with other stylists at the salon (even though they did nothing wrong) and no showing the stylists too so they lose money when every stylist in the salon is independant

This is what scares me about this industry. We are all humans, and we are not perfect. Also, people are not always honest about what they've done to their hair. Anyone can trash you, and ruin your career just because they feel like it. It's sad.

It’s unfortunate that we live in a society where cancelling someone can benefit others. I mean look at all the stylists and brands offering to help her. No shade to the stylists/brands who stepped in - it’s kind of them to help. But it goes to show. It’s absolutely not okay to damage someone’s hair and refuse to take accountability, but mistakes happen and should be an opportunity to learn and grow. Did she deserve to be cancelled, receive fake reviews, or death threats? Absolutely not. This situation could have been handled privately.
