The summer before my junior year in college when I was a camp counselor was exactly like that. 19-22 has a similar level of immaturity and youth but at a level of independence that allows to explore outside of the limitations of high school.

It absolutely wouldn't. 1. These are children, and they're a little stupid. And that's ok. Because they're children 2. For Ramona the issue of her custody was quite important to her 3. Similarly with Oona and Maple. The fact that their left them is so devastating BECAUSE Oona is also a child. She's a child working and taking care of another child 4. Kids deserve to see themselves represented on the screen as well, not only in highschool dramas

I mean for a lot of legal plot points, Ramona has to be under 18 and it also makes sense for Annie to just turn 18 because of her owning part of the island and this having to be discussed with her. That being said Annie lools like she‘s 25 and not 18 lol

You have to think all of them are extremely rich that why they are allowed to go on trips. Second, you can get your pilots license at very young I believe 16 in some places third a lot of kids get tattoos at 16 with parents permission or without.

Totally agree and with the amount of drinking alcohol and smoking weed and cigarettes, it was not plausible for all of these teenagers to have such a little supervision and literally access. You can get tattoos under the age of 18 with parental consent, and you can also fly an airplane under the age of 18 with a license. You can be a licensed pilot as a teenager. Those are all factual things, but the rest of it you are right on point.
