The reason US bond yield continue to go up because we spent too much (and demand is higher than supply or the amount of money people willing to lend us). The focus for all of us is to reduce spending instead of discussing who and why they dont lend us more money let along discussing what can we do to prostate others to loan us for money.

Individuals not accustomed to bond yields may be tempted to think that the same increase in UK, US, France, Germany and Japan because they have an overcapacity to reward bondholders whereas it implies that demand for national debts are lower than the supply of the same which triggers additional rate to attract those with funds to lend.

The 10Y bond just made a huge jump to 4.74. The intervention a couple of days ago dropped it briefly to 4.65. There's an android app for anyone who wants to know precisely when the US stock markets fell off a cliff. You can see when it happened in 2008, at around 5%.
