I fully believe that religion was created to provide people with hope for comfort after death. I also find it weird that there are many types of religions that have different gods. Hear me out, if I’m an atheist and believe in nothing like that, according my Christian grandma, I’m going to hell for not believing. What about the people in other religions. They don’t believe in the same god, if hell is real, are they there?

God didnt do that. Christians don't believe God is behind everything to ever happen. Everything is attributed to free will and as harsh as it sounds if God stopped us from doing anything against his code we'd basically be enslaved. That's just the price we pay for freedom.
