Why are people not understanding Dominicans. Guys there are mixed races dark-skin people YESSS! Not every person who is mixed is going to be light skin . So yes when they say they are not black it’s true because they are not only of African decent they are mixed people. Not everyone you see ESPECIALLY in the Dominican Republic are black. Just because you guys have similar features does not mean they are the same genetic make up as you. That’s how it is in the Caribbean. Including other islands you guys think are ONLY black we are not we have a Huge amount of other mixes in our dna including Indian, native, white, Chinese and yea we can be dark skin and mixed. The Dominicans you guys see who are darkskin look different from other black people it’s true. Why are you guys forcing identities on people it’s so weird. They identify as Dominican and that’s their right … their birth right people are allowed to identify themselves how they choose. You don’t get to just tell someone what their ancestry is when you don’t know them just because you feel like they look like you. There are so many darker skin people with coily hair in different countries and they are NOT of African decent omg why is this so hard for other black Americans to understand? Are you guys afraid to be alone or something so you force other ppl to identify how you want them to.its not your country leave people alone.
