But here’s what customers don’t see… That $440 isn’t $440 straight into the plumber’s pocket. There’s materials, fuel, vehicle costs, tools, insurance, licensing, registration, accounting, advertising, admin, phone bills, software, subscriptions, tax, GST, and all the other costs that come with running a legitimate plumbing business. And before anyone says, “$440 for half an hour?!” You’re not paying for the 30 minutes the plumber is standing in your house. You’re paying for the 15 years it took to become the bloke who can walk in, diagnose the problem, fix it properly, carry the right tools, and stand behind the work. You don’t pay a good tradie for the time it takes to do the job. You pay them for knowing how to do the job right. And I’ve got a strict NO SHIT CLIENT POLICY.
