it's also so weird when people automatically think shipping a queer ship is fetishizing it. i've seen SO many people say things like "it's a fetish" when it's literally just a ship that someone mentioned. i think some people need to remember that shipping a queer ship, canon or not, doesn't mean it's a fetish. people MAY fetishize it, but the ship itself isn't a fetish. people just love throwing that word around, especially to queer people, and act like they know better than us. like god forbid i want to ship queer ships and headcanon fictional characters as queer. i don't see them complaining when someone ships ONLY hetero ships, but suddenly it's a huge problem when someone, especially a queer person, ships ONLY queer or mostly queer ships
