According to investigators, Robinson later cooperated and identified Agostino Abbatiello, a Sigma Chi member and accounting major, as his cocaine supplier. Over the following months, investigators said they uncovered an operation involving members and pledges of both Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi. Authorities allege that cocaine was transported from Philadelphia and New York to State College, then repackaged and distributed through fraternity connections. Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said the alleged dealing largely happened between friends, fraternity members, acquaintances and at parties or social gatherings. Investigators also allege that preparing and packaging cocaine became part of the fraternity initiation process for some pledges. One former student, Lars Zeepvat, allegedly told authorities that Abbatiello forced him to deliver cocaine after he could not repay $1,500 he had borrowed for a spring break trip. The investigation has resulted in felony and misdemeanor charges against 13 current and former Penn State students, including the alleged ringleader and Robinson’s father, who authorities say was involved in an attempt to conceal a safe containing drugs and Mula. Penn State officials said they were horrified by the allegations. Delta Upsilon was placed on interim suspension, while Sigma Chi was also suspended by its headquarters.
