it’s also bc yall are looking at wayyy too expensive vehicles. I got my first vehicle loan, $185/month, $3500 down, it was a 6 year old car. Drove off in positive equity - traded it in a year later w a 750 score, drove off in a 21 accord with $1200 down from the positive equity

There’s not enough equity in the loan to mitigate the risk for the bank. So you either need to put a good amount down or find a co-signer with established credit

as a former car salesperson if you think you got a good deal just know you don’t we present you the options that make us money we never show the good options for the customer because if the dealer did that they wouldn’t really make shit lol and a car note is not worth it lol but i’m not telling anyone how to live their life this is just my take with financing
