The crew supports the ship. So what you’re saying is the crew isn’t doing its job. The crew cleans the berthing which is inspected daily. Cleaning is the number one thing all sailors regardless of rating or rank do. Honestly, you would think the navy recruits people to keep the ship clean before they even think of defending America. The crew fixes toilets which there are like 6-8 toilets per bathroom. The crew supplies the ships and makes sure they have food, hygiene products and repair parts. The government doesn’t just send stuff out there and everyone waits. The whole purpose of the crew is to maintain the ship.
