@narcissisticpartners: Hi, it's Juliana! They tell you they'll be home at 11 PM. 11 PM comes around and you don't hear anything from them. You call, text, call again... nothing. Then they walk through the door at 3 AM, and you ask: “Where have you been?” But instead of answering your question... They immediately tell you something bad happened to them. “I got a flat tire.” “My phone died.” “I ran out of gas.” “I almost got robbed.” But you can't ask any questions, because now you're interrogating them. You just need to believe them and feel sorry for them. Why? This is just my opinion, but they're probably lying. They didn't get a flat tire. They didn't run out of gas. They didn't almost get robbed. They were probably doing something that they don't want you to find out about. So what do they do? They position themselves as the victim with the lies or very exaggerated versions of the truth I just listed so you comfort them instead of holding them accountable.
