This is why I don’t agree to split checks with people who drink. I don’t drink, and even 1-2 cocktails or beers can easily run $15-$20. Why should I have to pay for your alcohol?

we only split what we share. im fine with splitting food but DRINKS especially alcoholic drinks are per person bc even if I have a sip or two im not drinking HALF your drink. bottles of wine are usually split ill give her that but if i didnt have ANY im not paying for it so I hope you can take the rest home

Not the AH. food that is shared is one thing but a whole bottle of wine especially one that is over $100 and it wasn't shared. No she was right to do what she did. I also kinda feel the now former friend did it on purpose thinking that the other girl would just pay her bill and not say anything.

She IS the A-hole. She had multiple chances to say something (like after the wine was ordered) and she didn't until the bill was split EXACTLY how she asked that it be split. I would have said something when two wine glasses were brought out.
