@essielyn: A 4-year-old girl in Utah has died after being trapped inside a hot SUV. Rosalie “Rosie” Grace Freund was playing with her siblings at her home in American Fork on July 26. Police believe she got into her parents’ 2020 GMC Yukon XL in the driveway. The rear child safety locks were on. Investigators say she didn’t know how to open the front doors. She was inside for an estimated 2½ hours. Inside temperatures reached about 120 degrees. When she was found, CPR was performed. She was rushed to a local hospital, then flown by helicopter to Salt Lake City. Court documents described her condition as “very poor.” Two days later, Rosie died. Her obituary calls her “the embodiment of joy.” She loved her three sisters, Barbies, swimming, singing, bright colors, and mac and cheese. “She brought happiness wherever she went.” Rosie is survived by her parents and three sisters. A fundraiser has been set up for the family. American Fork Police said they will not be filing criminal charges. Lt.
