THEY’RE WORKING, BUT GOD IS ALSO WORKING! 🥰Joseph says to his brothers in Genesis 50:20: “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.” 🥰Notice two parties at work in this verse: Joseph’s brothers and God. Joseph’s brothers were working against him. They hated him, rejected him, betrayed him, plotted to kill him, and eventually sold him into slavery. They thought they were destroying his future. Little did they know that God was also working. 🥰While they were working against Joseph, God was working for His purpose. My friend, your haters may be working tirelessly to oppose God’s purpose, plan, and will for your life. They may falsely accuse you and try to tarnish your reputation for years. Even some of the people you have sacrificed for, supported, and helped may turn against you and join others in opposing you. But never forget this: while they are working, God is also working! 🥰They may be working behind the scenes, but God is working behind the scenes too. They may have a plan, but God has a plan. They may have an agenda, but God has a purpose. They may mean it for evil, but God can turn it for good. Human beings can act with malicious intentions, but they cannot overthrow the sovereign purpose of God. God is able to overrule what people meant for your destruction and use it as an instrument for your preservation, preparation, and elevation. 🥰Joseph’s brothers sold him to get rid of him, but their actions became part of the journey that took him to Egypt. They wanted to remove him from the family, but God was positioning him to preserve the family. They wanted to bury his dream, but without realizing it, they were helping move him toward its fulfillment. What they meant for evil, God turned for good. 🥰So do not become so preoccupied with what people are doing against you that you forget what God is doing for you. Their activity does not mean that God is inactive. Their opposition does not mean that God has abandoned His purpose for your life. Sometimes, while people are working to push you down, God is using their very actions as steps in your rising.
