E bikes should be banned for anyone under the age of 18. The amount of brain dead children I have cared for is staggering… and it’s not just misuse of the bike, it’s also motor vehicle users who don’t see your kids or drive recklessly themselves. Even in neighborhoods! Helmets are obviously a big part of it but there are other life threatening injuries a helmet can’t protect against. Internal organ lacerations, broken spines, facial injuries… Even the safest of kids could be killed on an E Bike.
