@cbsnews: New York City's newest transplants aren't moving into apartments. They're moving into the harbor. Our reporter Riley Callanan went out with Gotham Whales, the nonprofit that just logged its 500th whale off Coney Island since 2011 to see them. Climate change is shifting food sources south, and cleaner water plus an abundance of menhaden are turning NYC into a supplemental feeding ground for humpbacks, many of them juveniles discovering the city on their own. But with 7 tankers visible from the boat, these whales are dining in one of the busiest waterways on the East Coast.

It’s sad what’s happening to our planet. Whales and other innocent mammals, etc are such victims of human greed and stupidity.
