Patrick “Ted” Barnett called 911 from his Colorado home and claimed he had found his wife D*ad in the shower. According to police, the 40-year-old said Lindsey Barnett, 37, had C*t her own throat. But investigators say the evidence inside the home pointed somewhere else. Police found a large amount of Bl*od in the couple’s bedroom, along with an overturned plant and what appeared to be a Bl*od trail leading from the bed toward the bathroom. Authorities said there was comparatively little Bl*od inside the bathroom. Lindsey also had bruises and several other fresh Inj*ries, including what investigators described as a possible defensive wound on her finger. Ted told detectives the couple had been struggling in their marriage and sleeping in separate rooms. Then investigators discovered another detail. A woman contacted police and identified Ted as her boyfriend, saying they had met online about three months earlier. She allegedly believed Ted and Lindsey were already separated. Police say Ted initially denied any infidelity, then later admitted having a relationship with the woman after detectives confronted him with inconsistencies. Investigators also questioned unexplained Bl*od found on Ted’s face, neck and behind his ear, along with scratches and an Inj*ry to his hand. According to the affidavit, forensic evidence indicated Lindsey had D*ed in the bedroom and had not moved herself into the shower. Ted allegedly could not explain how her body got there.
