I agrre with misstreatment of storm but I think it's really carazy that when she does get skins they've been free and good skins. But the ones you have to buy have been mostly bad so I just never needed a storm skin cause the free ones look cooler in my opinion

The sales argument doesn't work because she's only had 1 skin released to the shop since launch prior to the swimsuit. Factors like you mentioned such as the quality of the skins also affects sales so when someone like Luna snow gets the most effort put into her skins it's not surprising that they sell. the devs has either a conscious or unconscious bias against certain characters. Their favoritisms always been obvious but the storm situation stood out a lot because it was a pattern for them to leave her out of situation where she would have fit perfectly then when they do add her to do so in the most low effort way.

That’s my biggest issue with the treatment of Storm and other characters. People continue to harp on the “it’s the pick rate” argument when that simply isn’t true. So many lower pick rate characters get legendaries and better treatment despite not being played as much. And then these same people love to respond with “you all need to play that character more if you want skins” when again, that simply isn’t factual or based in reality. And if it WERE, how can you not see the circular argument. Character X does not have a high pick rate -> therefore does not get skins -> no new interest is gained around Character X -> pick rate stays low -> therefore no new skins. And then they call you crazy for calling this ridiculousness out. And we ALL know WHY. We know the reason. They just find it unpleasant to hear.

Some people argue that “Storm doesn’t sell” but Widow’s swimsuit skin was a legendary, and she’s in a very similar boat. I honestly can’t remember the last time Storm got a shop skin, so the defense of a lack of sales falls flat cause there has been nothing TO sell. Idk if your resident white boy like me can see something’s off with the game’s treatment of black characters, I think it is worth talking about.
