you'll are reading out of context,this is a letter that Paul wrote to Timothy, Timothy had a stomach illness, this is merely a suggestion from paul that he should not only drink water but also drink a little wine which in that century was also known as medicine

If you are American, you would assume it is the size of your small coke (16 ounces/473ml). But in biblical times, it is 50ml. Timothy had stomach issues, so little wine to settle his stomach is cca 50 ml

I used to drink to stay calm and help with depression during a 17yr long abusive relationship. New boyfriend had an alcohol problem also and he got physical and I haven't drank since so I could be clear minded to keep myself safe from now on. 671 days sober. God is good! He protects me from Evil.
