So happy as a Liverpool fan to see Nico Gonzalez linked with Newcastle - I’ve been wanting us to sign him all summer. Think he’d be the perfect anti-wirtz in the middle, compensating for his lack of physicality and tackling aggression. Gonzalez, Barcola, Mbaye… it’s looking dangerous.

Problem is multiple transfer windows and just time on the training pitch are probably needed to build a squad that can maintain Iraola's style across an entire season to actually challenge for trophies. The goal every year at Liverpool is to compete for everything, cant do that with mediocrity like Elliott, Chiesa, Endo, Tsimikas etc, as our "depth"

As a Liverpool supporter for over 20 seasons, I can say I’m as excited for Iraola as I was for Jurgen, I have the same feeling in my gut about him and I can’t believe how many people are doubting us this year.
