@allan_ginja: On This Day, August 19, 2006, Jamaican Roots Reggae Singer Joseph Hill Passed Away While On Tour In Berlin, Germany. The Lead Singer For The Roots Reggae Group 'Culture' Was Born On January 22, 1949, In Linstead Town, St Catherine Parish. Hill Began His Career In The 1960s As A Percussionist, Recording With The Studio One Band 'The Soul Defenders' He Also Worked As A Sound System Deejay And Performed As A Backing Vocalist Before Releasing His First Singles 'Behold The Land' And 'Take Me Girl', In The Early 1970s. The Reggae Songwriter Along With His Cousin Albert 'Ralph' Walker And Roy 'Kenneth' Dayes Would Form 'The African Disciples' In 1976. The African Disciples Would Later Change Their Name To 'Culture'. Culture Recorded A Series Of Successful Singles With Producer Joe Gibbs, Starting With 'See Dem A Come', And Including 'Two Sevens Clash'. These Singles Would End Up On Their Debut Album 'Two Sevens Clash' (1977). Their Second Album 'Baldhead Bridge' Was Released In 1978.
