:Yeah done it heaps of times for years & never had any brushes break . I wash them on quick mode, little bit of pine o clean not laundry liquid then put them standing up to dry in sunny areas. Cleans them great. I don't put them in a pillow case though just the towel on the bottom of the washing machine, brushes & another towel so the brushes don't wreck the washing machine drum
