with Pick 'n Pay case, the issue is time. In Silverton, they were operating from 09h00 to 19h00 (Mon-Sat) and 08h00 to 16h00 on Sun. Then, Checkers took over the store operate 07h00 to 20h00 Mon-Sun. I also wish they find strength to open at 06h00, they will become more sustainable.

i learnt this model from my previous employer. store size doesn't mean more money. his store sizes are very small I mean like 2 people in morning shift, 2 afternoon shift type of small but DAMN they print money..

Love it - they understand their consumer touchpoints. Their customer still wants to see & feel their products, not just digital so they keep their brick and mortar while focusing on efficiency. It would be interesting to know their revenue split stores versus online.
