Actually, we as homosapiens only existed around 300.000 years, but migrated out of Africa about 60,000-70,000 years ago. This isn't time enough to create a sub-species especially considering that we have been mixing with the nearest populations. Instead of sub-species humans have clines, the difference is that clines are gradual, while subspecies are established. An example would be the Belugas, they don't have a sub-species but they show some differences.

this is wrong, the most divergent human populations only had <190k years "separated" but there was still some exchange of genetic material, and there are no human populations nearly divergent enough for modern humans to be considered to have subspecies. we may be able to characterise some extinct populations as subspecies like the suggestion of H. s. idaltu, H.s. neanderthalensis etc, but this could also be controversial
