@tamathapaul: That’s right whānau, while you’ve been struggling your ass off, your tax has also been paying off their mortgages. This speech comes off the back of a new Renter’s United report that shows that thousands of renters are NOT better off since the government brought in no-cause evictions and interest deductibility. But they tell us to shut up and be grateful that we have pet bonds! What a joke No surprises here - the government parties got $2.5million in donations from the property industry so they would change the laws to make housing a profit-making industry meanwhile homelessness is the highest in recorded history and house prices remain out of reach for renters. But it’s not just for their mates, the MPs themselves want in on it too! Housing is a HUMAN RIGHT not a BUSINESS.
