canister vacuums are a no for me. I have had the same bagged vacuum for over 20 yrs, my husband bought one of those really expensive vacuums with a canister and I never quit using my bag vacuum he kept telling me to use it try it and then eventually his stop sucking up like it was supposed to, but mine was still on point now you gotta do Maintenance like I’ve changed belts in it before and you have to clean it. Take the front of it off and really clean it out. Make sure it doesn’t get yucky but those things work and he lasts a long time the canister vacuumed loose suction that way.
