I genuinely HATE incest or pedophilia. But the whole thing with censorship is it is ALWAYS such a slippery slope. If you decide ONE thing is bad enough to not be allowed to be written, or read, what’s to stop other people from deciding other things aren’t also bad enough? That’s what history has shown us with censorship time and time again. Once you censor one thing, it opens the flood gates for people to decide what else should be censored.

it's such a weird way to think about fiction to me because like 50% of these people straight up think there are topics that should just NEVER be written about, and that the people who write them are predatory/evil. but like... it's just story telling. you tell a story. that story doesn't have to have good things happen in it. storytelling has worked this way as long as it has existed. i can't even wrap my head around it
