Im suffering with it now. Im 3 and a half months in. And i still cant shut my eye properly or smile properly it gets me so depressed. I cant take selfies with my baby boy. He turns 1 at end of this month. That hits the hardest. Xxx

Happened twice, different sides. First my middle was a baby, I was worried she’d learn how to smile differently…. The second time? Youngest was a newborn. Faster recovery… still have pain and issues with the left side. It’s wild.

8 months in tomorrow...never in my life did I see this for my life. Just unbelievable. I have faith but some days are just hard....I've fallen back on my knees praying that one day I'll wake up and it be over. Then I fear it coming back. This sounds a lot like my story! First time getting it, I was 13 yrs old and my left side was effected. I healed completely. Second time I was 21 and pregnant with my first baby. My right side was effected and I developed Synkinesis. I now get EMG guided botox by a facial plastic surgeon who specializes in facial paralysis at Vanderbilt here in TN.
