Reading the comments is so weird to me as an Asian. I always set aside food for anyone not in the house when we eat. My whole family and extended family does, in fact I don't know anyone who doesn't. And I'm happy to serve it like the woman here because I genuinely want the other person cared for. I do this for my partner and we both work, she does it for me when I'm out. Her father does it for me. Here food is a love language, when families eat, they always think of members not present. If there are 4 people in a house, and 2 aren't home, the one cooking will still make food for 4, and set aside their meals for later.

All these comments are baffling. So much hate and negativity against the man, without even knowing the full context. As if none of you have ever had a crap day and felt defeated. The wife stepped up to support her husband. She is praiseworthy for this. The point is that spouses supporting each other is a powerful and special thing. Now the man is called controlling, entitled, aggressive etc. What’s wrong with you people? Judging the man on a moment of weakness just to feed your hade and sexism.

I don’t understand some of these women. My LEO husband works 12 hours plus a day & I LOVE making him dinner, & taking care of him! Dinner is always ready when he comes home, & I make him a plate and drink then sit next to him and eat too. He takes care of me and I take care of him, genuinely confused what’s wrong with that. My job is the house & our child, and I’m proud to do this for him, he appreciates it and tells me all the time how lucky he is and how much he loves me. Before being a SAHM we literally split up all the chores and dinner too, he’s always been an equal partner.
