@docharcoal: Realistic hair isn't sharp everywhere. In this Project Lamina episode, I show you how I create the soft, blurred areas of the hair and make them blend naturally into the background. The goal isn't to erase detail. It's to control where the detail disappears so the sharper areas stand out. I achieved this using a three-step layering system with DO Charcoal powder, gradually building the values from soft to dark while controlling the edges with my tools.
