Burnham will deflect like Apple does with new colours - he has told us of the Governments ban on disposable bbqs and warn us of our Netflix subs. That’s what matters 😂😂😂

The timing has nothing to do with Burnham coming to power. The same is happening in the US, Japan, Germany, France and others. The bond markets are skittish because of high levels of deficits, the stupid Iran war and mad borrowings around AI. Obviously it’s for Burnham to sort out, but the timing is a coincidence.

I knew this was coming . I downsized ,no mortgage ,self employed so I work less. Just riding this storm for next 3/5 years . Enjoying my young adult kids ,having a lot more cheap fun and will see what election outcome is .sadly on a sinking ship it’s your family you think most about .

Where are the other parties, they should be kicking off about this! Just like Labour did against Liz Truss! What a bunch of wet weekends!

Energy Shocks and Inflation: Escalating Middle East conflicts have driven up oil and gas prices, reigniting persistent inflation fears and pushing global yields higher.Fiscal Pressures: High public sector debt and costly debt-servicing leave the government with very limited fiscal headroom.Political and Policy Uncertainty: Shifts in political leadership and signals from the administration that they may use flexibility to increase borrowing have made investors demand higher risk premiums.Global Bond Sell-Off: A parallel rout in US Treasuries and other international sovereign debt has pushed long-term UK borrowing costs to multi-decade highs.
