I don’t think this is entirely true. Many people in the diaspora have done very well, in some cases even better than those who remained in Nigeria. The diaspora also tends to provide greater exposure to systems, standards, and practices that are globally accepted.
That said, success is relative. Someone may be doing very well in Nigeria and still choose to move abroad for better healthcare, their children’s education, security, or other personal reasons.
At the end of the day, my advice is simple: do what works best for you and your family. There is no one-size-fits-all definition of success.

Christopher Idialu Ikato :
We need to stop judging success simply by the wealth and affluence people display in Nigeria. We often don’t know the story behind the glory or how that wealth was acquired.
We also need to be more discerning and stop believing everything we hear from motivational speakers. Talk is cheap, and appearances can be very deceptive. True success should be measured by more than what people show on social media or in public.
