Can’t even pass the interview bc the interview is about whether they like you

• Coworkers can break rules, but if we do it, even on accident, we're horrible.
• Coworkers treat us coldly or like were the weirdest people ever
• They don't communicate that they need us to do/help with something, they expect us to read minds

I hate hate hate the fact that part of my "grade" as an employee is related to me conversing with my coworkers. Just let me clock in, do my job well, then leave. I don't want to be here, you don't want to be here, nobody wants to be here, so let's just get this shit over with and stop with the theatrics

The neurotypicals in the comments fully blowing over the point and having no empathy "we all have to go through this at every job" yes but it is a million times harder on us.

Also the whole recruitment process where you have to play and pretend, a job interview is not an objective assessment of your skills and qualifications

I watch coworkers do shit I'll get yelled at for. I'm so fucking tired of being the only one who has to be perfect.

It took me over a year to comprehend that office politics exist and that’s why I was being harassed so badly and my manager and hr didn’t do anything but actually joined in. I didn’t understand I was supposed to be playing the popularity game and everyone hated me for not playing it.

Exactly because when we were remote, NDs & autistic employees were straight killing it. It was the allistics and NTs who struggled because their careers were built on office politics and they had no way to do it. That actually had to do the work.

I had the exact same problem in school, the lessons, learning, tests were never the problem it was everything around it, people, noise, social expectations, group work,...and now as an adult I have the exact same problem.
But I'm lucky where I live there are special workspaces for people with physical/mental disabilities or just neurospicy people where they understand, the social people all work in one big room together and the ones that need space and need to be left alone can have a separate work space where you can do your work in peace and don't have to be social

Uhh yeah but that's just about everything when you live in a society. The thing is never just the thing.

Blue collar work is the answer
Nobody on your back most of the time, few social barriers bc everyone on the job is batshit crazy, few interactions with hierarchy, no one will bother you as long as the job is done

Companies actively put their employees against each other and lack proper resources and upkeep that they should for the business leading to beef in the workplace and I always decide to let them have that shit and that’s why I’m a job hopper

“You’re not showing us that you want to move up in this company.” I don’t. I applied for this specific job and this specific job only. I never gave any indication I was interested in becoming someone that’s in charge of other people.

yes, but also the entire structure for me. I need a LOT of rest every day. I get overstimulated and worn out extremely easily. and no job allows you to take breaks after everything. so my only really choice is working freelance or becoming a small business kind of.

The hardest part for me is the interview. I don’t understand the questions and I feel like I’m being judged on every little thing, things that have nothing to do with me getting the position.
