@lelethelove30: it’s been a decade since you were introduced as nct dream member, chenle!! happy 10th anniversary!! a little boy from Shanghai who came to Korea to chase his dream, a little boy who cried every single day for an entire week, until there were no more tears left to cry, now, that little boy has made it to 10 years, a whole decade. isn’t it heartbreaking to think about a 14 year old boy leaving everything familiar behind for a country that was completely foreign to him, where he didn’t even speak the language? he left behind a home where he was excelling in his studies and had a bright future ahead of him, and choosing to step into a completely unfamiliar world. he had to train from the beginning and catch up with friends who had already spent years practicing. while his friends were giving 100% in dance, he had to give his 1000000% to catch up, pushing himself so hard that he end up bruised his knees. he also had to sing in a language he didn’t understand... how difficult must that have been for such a young boy? and yet chenle back then was still so much like chenle that i know now. he always carried that radiant smile, always found a way to spread positivity, and never let people see when he was struggling. for the past 10 years, chenle has continued to be a light of happiness to the people around him and to everyone who gets to see him. thank you, chenle, from such a difficult beginning, you never gave up, not until this very moment, so we have an incredible idol we can always be proud of. over these 10 years too, we’ve had watching you grow. you started out as a bright light, lighting the way through your own journey, and now you’ve grown into a sun that can shine over an entire world. and i know you still want to keep growing cause you’re someone who is always hungry to become better, someone who never thinks he has done enough to simply stop. i always remember your words, “there’s always room for improvement,” and i've seen those words reflected in you throughout these 10 years.
