The police man handled the salesman nicely, not entertaining his misguided knowledge about the V5. Clearly she’s driving without insurance and he knew. Hence he said for whatever reason she hasn’t got insurance I don’t know anything about that. Guilty as charged.

If she’s leasing it then she won’t need the V5. She must disclose to her insurer that it’s leased and she will be the driver. I leased for years.
