Helaena was such an extroverted and clever girl in the book. i love the show version of her but honestly book Helaena was not only sitting and doing embroidery and watching bugs all the time she was a courtly girl with i’m sure lots of friends and allies because of how well she could connect with others. she also took her part as THE queen of the Seven Kingdoms in many councils and was not afraid to give her political opinions. she was on dragonback more than any of her siblings and when she calmly asked Blood and Cheese to introduce themselves i knew there was something about this woman that was far more than just an ”Alicent’s favorite child or simply a crazy dreamer whose words don't make any sense”. in the book she was THE queen and was not willing to just sit and watch what men do. This is the Helaena i know

Making her Alicent’s mini me who calls her “mummy” like a child when during B&C, Helaena was “calling her mother’s name” aka calling her ALICENT before she even knew there was danger. . . People just wanna deny that the show infantilizes her. I also dislike removing the fact she defended Rhaenyra’s life to the Green council when Aegon wanted her executed and ignoring the line of “nor do our sources speak of any special enmity between them” about her sister. Helaena my neutral queen who loved your babies I miss you
