The Lagoon Boys! Four powerful male lions are pushing hard to claim this territory as their own. Day and night, their roars echo across the @xigeralodge concession as they patrol every corner, learning the land and defending it with strength in numbers. For years, this area was controlled by pairs of males—two in the east and another pair moving through the northwest. But none of them have the advantage these four brothers have together. The Lagoon Boys are in their prime, around four to six years old, strong, experienced, and determined after losing battles before. Now, they’re back to claim what could become their kingdom. At the moment, they’ve joined the Treaty Land Pride—three dominant females and six sub-adults. Recently, the males have been seen mating with one of the females, a strong sign that a new generation could soon arrive. One female briefly tried to escape by showing pseudo-estrus, pretending to be ready to mate just to distract the males—but eventually slipped away. For now, the Lagoon Boys remain with the pride, guarding their new territory. And if the mating continues, we may soon see new cubs born into this powerful pride.
