May be a stupid idea but hear me out: so remember when Steven ran into Lars holding the mirror containing Lapis? Lars said “Watch where you’re going you little… Steven.” We know it’s a kid show so he wasn’t gonna say “little sh!t” BUT what if in this AU, that’s because Steven doesn’t look fully human so other humans struggle with calling him certain terms of phrases often used. Ex: “Thank you the help Steven, you’re such a sweet… boy.”
