Every stride forces the robot to coordinate foot placement, ground contact, joint torque, body posture and balance in fractions of a second. At running speed, even a small timing error can quickly turn into a fall. This is exactly why competitions like the World Humanoid Robot Games matter. They push humanoids outside controlled lab demonstrations and expose the limits of locomotion, recovery and whole-body control in front of everyone. The next step is not simply making humanoids walk reliably. It is making them run, accelerate, recover from disturbances and keep moving when every foot impact changes the dynamics of the entire body.
