Do you want to have your own kids? I did this, obviously not by choice. I was 13 and did it until I was 18, but even now, at 21, I’m their only financial support. Being a mom to my siblings completely broke any desire for motherhood, if there ever was any… Tbh, I don’t like kids anymore, and I resent them somehow. I don’t know how to explain it, but in my heart, it feels that way

Foundation ages you. 👀 I get asked all the time how I get my skin to look so smooth and glowy at 49. Good skincare absolutely matters. But there’s another part of the equation that we don’t talk about enough: How you apply makeup to aging skin matters just as much as what you apply. My skin has changed. I have more uneven pigmentation than I used to. Some redness. Changes in texture. All completely normal as hormones shift, cumulative sun exposure catches up with us, and the structure and hydration of the skin change with age. My instinct is NOT to cover all of that with more foundation. Quite the opposite. The more texture my skin develops, the less heavy makeup I want sitting on top of it. I start with the ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 because I want something very lightweight that helps even everything out while still allowing my actual skin to show through. And application makes a huge difference. I've been using ILIA's new brush to really work the skin tint into the skin rather than leaving a layer sitting on top. That's what gives me that smooth, almost airbrushed finish without looking heavily made up. Then I keep the rest incredibly simple. A little cream blush to bring dimension and life back into the face. Brow pencil for structure. Tower 28 mascara to define the eyes. Soshe lip liner and lipstick for color. Done. No heavy contouring. No thick layers of foundation. No trying to erase every pore, line or imperfection. And there's a reason I prefer this approach. As we age, makeup can start emphasizing the very things we're trying to hide when we pile too much onto the skin. Heavy layers can settle into texture and make the surface look drier and less natural. I would rather focus on healthy skin underneath, strategic correction where I need it, and lightweight makeup that lets light reflect naturally from the skin. That's my version of “glass skin.” Not poreless. Not filtered. Not 25-year-old skin at 49. Healthy, hydrated, luminous REAL skin that still looks like skin. The ILIA skin tint and the new brush I'm using are attached if you want to see exactly what I applied. #TikTokshopbacktoschool #MatureSkin #MakeupOver40 #GlassSkin #FunctionalBeauty
