@werner_bronkhorst: This is another artwork that was made in a rather strange location- over the Indian Ocean in an airplane. During my stay in Germany, I made a few artworks that were small enough to transport easily in my suitcase so I could paint whenever I had a spare moment. These moments mostly came on the airplanes in between the many flights I took during my trip to Europe with Porsche. I wanted to paint a tiny parachutist flying peacefully on an elongated canvas as part of a study for an upcoming artwork. Painting on an airplane is not always easy. Light is dim, space is limited and turbulence is unpredictable but I’m happy with the result! Ref WB 10.13 ‘Flying’ 30 x 10cm Acrylic Polymer on Canvas This artwork will be for sale online via my website after my upcoming exhibition in Berlin from 2-4 October.
