This can actually happen for 2 different reasons one being the camel is not getting enough nutrients and the other being the camel is actually so well off it’s more of a fat thing.

its just because the fat reserve is low, hes fine hes just burning fat, a common misconception is that their humps hold water which is not true, it also might be because he’s well fed because he is in captivity technically :) he’s okay!
